Colocaram câmeras na casa de uma senhora idosa, no fim não queriam acreditar o que ela fazia sozinha!
Para documentar um dia na vida de Mary, a equipe de filmagem Voyager visitou a mulher idosa em seu apartamento pequeno. Com honestidade brutal e charme inabalável, Mary pinta um quadro de como é viver completamente sozinha, sem família e amigos ao seu redor. A maioria das pessoas na idade de Mary vive suas vidas em casas de repouso, cercado por seus pares e participando em atividades mas, em seguida, há pessoas como Mary, que simplesmente preferem o isolamento. Sua luta mais difícil, ao que parece, é descobrir maneiras de manter-se ocupada.
No vídeo abaixo, os cineastas também convidam um menbro do lar de idosos para vir ao apartamento para ver o que a mulher idosa fazia quando estava sozinha. Ficou em lágrimas e diz:
It is difficult to see it.. I had also a great grandmother that lived 93 years old. On the last year she had to go to a retirement home. At first she didn't wanted because she was thinking that we would leave her there. But we went to visit her all the weeks. she always had more then 2 visits per week. And we have called to her all the days. It was the best option that we find to her since that her sons and daughters had also some age and could not take care of her currectly. All the grandchildrens have their works. she was much more lonely before. We all have our lives, our works, but he have also for sure time to spend with the people that gave us life. Without them we would not have a life. At the moment I am far from my family and there is not a day that I don't feel really sorry for missing time with them. Thanks God that we have now internet to communicate much more and to "see" which other.
